She had three children, Richard Jr. (Alice) of Winchester, Chappaqua, New York and Rockport; Russell (Paula) of Grinnell, Iowa and Rockport; and Dr. Rebecca Osgood Hoerner (Dr. Thomas) of Andover and Rockport. She lived while young in Ohio mostly and graduated in 1941 from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania for which she had a lifelong affection. Her father and brother, Norman, also attended there. From 1955 to the present she resided in Winchester, Rockport and latterly in North Andover. The family requests no flowers and suggests a donation to the First Congregational Church in Winchester. Mary's cherished husband, Richard (USMA 1941), who she married three weeks after Pearl Harbor in 1941, died in 2003 and she had lived alone since then at Edgewood Retirement Community in North Andover which cared for her well. She loved a party and would want all of us to celebrate not grieve.
