Life Story for Norma A. Zettler (Algeri)

Norma A.  Zettler (Algeri)
ZETTLER, Norma A. (Algeri) of Winchester, February 3, 2011. Beloved wife of Bill Zettler for 55 years. Norma leaves us after a long struggle with cancer. She leaves sons George Zettler and his wife Candace Chace of Weston, CT., and William Zettler, Jr. of Seattle, WA Dear Grandmother of Nathaniel Chase Zettler of Weston, CT. Sister of Grace Ingersoll of VA., Clara Appleyard of FL., and the late Mary Ferri, Vera Glass and Carmen Algeri. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Since 1974 Norma was an active member of the ENKA Society of Winchester, and the MA Home and Garden Club where she was Bird Chairlady for many years. She leaves all of her many friends there and thanks them for their love and prayers. Norma had been the first woman engineer at Raytheon Power Tube, in Waltham, MA where she was a mathematician for 10 years. While raising her two sons Norma began tutoring math to disabled students in the Winchester School system. She also began to tutor Math at home helping two generations of students from elementary school through High school. Her tutoring career extended over 40 years. Norma was always very proud and happy when her old students and their parents would visit her. They had become her very dear friends. “As one of you said recently, Norma made a difference”. Bill and Norma thank all of her friends at MGH who gave her 5 extra years. Funeral from the Lane Funeral Home 760 Main St. (Rte. 38) WINCHESTER on Monday February 7th at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Eulalia’s Church 50 Ridge St. Winchester at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-7pm. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
