COLLINS, Edwin Paul Beloved Husband,Father and Grandfather Ed passed in peace on Jan. 8, at the age of 87. As a Proud Marine, born in Somerville, Ed was resilient until the end. He always had a laugh, a smile or a joke to put everyone at ease. A longtime resident of Winchester, he had relocated to Stoneham in recent years. Ed is survived by Elizabeth, his devoted wife of 48 years; Michael, his son, and Abby his daughter-in-law of Washington, DC; his beloved grandchildren, James (5) and Beatrice (17 months); and many lifelong friends from Somerville, Boston Latin, Boston College, Winchester and the Marine Corps. Ed is fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Visiting Hours: Funeral Mass Will be held at 10:00 on Friday, Jan. 11th at St. Eulalia's in Winchester.
