VALLAS, Nicholas J. (Pravasilis) of Winchester, MA died at home on December 27, 2018 at age 98. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Effie Daginis Vallas, whom he married in the Boston snow on January 18, 1948. He was also predeceased by his devoted second wife Nephale James. Treasured father of Marlene and Bob Williamson of Winchester, Mauria and Rick Falcone of Walpole, and Melissa Vallas and her husband Ken Gellman of Andover. Stepfather to Dana James. Brother-in-law of the late Bette and Charles Zaharris, as well as Joan and the late George Tsakos. Cherished grandfather of Nick, Ryan, Alexa, Reid, Reese, Paige and Nate. Uncle of Nicholas and Dean Tsakos, Kimberly Rose, Drake Zaharris and the late David Zaharris. Adored by his great nieces and nephews Drew, Dana, Kaley, Kendall, Cole, Spenser, Griffen, and Cade. He served with distinction with the Marines in the Pacific Theater including Guam, Okinawa and Nagasaki. He returned to a business career in Boston after the war, where his greatest gift was the love he shared with his daughters, family, and friends. His warmth followed him wherever he went bestowing a lifetime of joy and laughter to his family, endearing him to all he met. A viewing will take place at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St., WINCHESTER, on January 2nd from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held at 11am at the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, 70 Montvale Ave., Woburn, followed by interment at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
