Anne M. Kelly died peacefully on October 13,2018 at Care Dimensions Hospice in Lincoln, MA. Anne was born and raised in Winchester, MA, and graduated from Winchester High School. She attended Lowell State Teachers College and taught in the Woburn Public Schools for several years. In 1959 she married Edward Joseph Kelly, who was a graduate of Northeastern University and Harvard Business School. They were married for fifty seven years, until his death in October, 2016, and lived in Melrose throughout their marriage. They had three children, Anne Byerly and her husband Keith of San Luis Obispo, Edward J. Kelly and his wife Kathleen of Wellesley, MA, and Joan McNeil and her husband Jeffrey of Wyomissing, PA. After her children were grown, Mrs. Kelly returned to the classroom and taught for many years at St. Patrick’s in Stoneham, MA. Mrs. Kelly is survived by her children and their spouses, eight grandchildren, Michael, Daniel and Elizabeth Byerly, Jack, Brian and Megan Kelly, and Abigail and Ben McNeil. She is also survived by her sister and brother in law, Alice and Joseph Conlon of Tewksbury, MA and their six children, Pat, Mary, Jay, Kathy, Joe, and Bill and their spouses and children. The family is very grateful for the help of numerous devoted caregivers and the excellent care given by Care Dimensions during the last time of her life. Services will be held at Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main Street, Winchester, MA on Saturday, October 20 9:00 to 10:30 am and a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church at 158 Washington Street, Winchester at 11:00 am. Interment at Wildwood Cemetery will follow the Mass. Contributions to the Salvation Army 1500 Washington Street, Boston, MA 01773 or Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Peter’s School 322 South 5th Street Reading, PA 19602 in memory of Anne would be appreciated.
