DIARBAKERLY, John of Winchester, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday morning, September 2nd, 2018. Beloved husband of Marie Diarbakerly of Winchester for 37 years. Loving father of John Diarbakerly Jr. of Winchester, Christine Diarbakerly and Senator Joseph A. Boncore of Winthrop, Victor Diarbakerly of Winchester, and Kevin Michael Diarbakerly of Winchester. Dear brother of Janet Ghazi, Linda Garabedian and her husband Alishan of Sudbury, George Diarbakerly and his wife Silva of Belmont, Laurence Mary Nejeeb Diarbakerly of Chestnut Hill, and Mark Diarbakerly and his wife Regina, of Lincoln. John was also a beloved brother in law to Bouchra Wallet and her husband Michael of Ohio, Bashar Soukkar and his wife Rena of Syria, Fateh Sokkar and his wife Karen, of Norwood, Fahed and his wife Mirna, of Italy. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

John touched the lives of everyone he knew with his warm smile, infectious positivity, loving heart and generous spirit. He adored his family and friends more than anything and spent as much time with them as possible. John was a devout Catholic whose strong faith acted as a moral compass guiding his life, values, and inspiring many. Personifying the American Dream, John was as an accomplished self-made business owner and passionate philanthropist, contributing to many local charities and organizations, both faith and community related.


Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 7th at St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St., WINCHESTER from 3-7pm. A funeral mass honoring his life will be on Saturday, September 8th at 11:30 am at St. Eulalia’s Church, as well. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Christian burial will follow at Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Memorial Donations in his memory may be made to St.Eulalia's Church.
