Obituary for Loretta E Dube (Errico)

Loretta E  Dube (Errico)
DUBE, Loretta E. (Errico), age 99, formerly of Winchester, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 10, 2018.

Loretta was born September 5, 1918, in Winchester, Massachusetts to the late Frances (Crimi) and Fiori Errico. She was the oldest of nine children.

She was a 1937 graduate of Winchester High School. She went on to work in secretarial positions until retiring from the W.R. Grace Company in Woburn in 1981. Although formally retired, she worked nonstop at various jobs in Wells, Maine until 1992, and her final job in her late 80s at Dental Associates in Walpole, Massachusetts, where she lived for 20 years with her daughter and family until residing at Victoria Haven in Norwood, Massachusetts for the last four years.

Loretta married George J. Dube in 1953, a widow with two very young children whom she loved and cared for as her own, then together they had a daughter and were a family of five.

Loretta was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She had a passion for the beach and enjoyed bowling. She was an avid Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots fan and attended every game of every sport in which her grandsons played.

Loretta is preceded in death by her husband, George, and her seven brothers, Louis (Gene), Vincent, Giacomo (Jack), Gerald, Joseph, Frank and Richard. She is survived by her sister, Anne Rallo, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Loretta is survived by her three children, Carol (Dube) Ryan of Bourne, Raymond Dube and his wife Maureen of Deland, Florida, and Linda (Dube) Thomas-Malveira and her husband Joseph of Walpole, Massachusetts.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Lori Dewar, John Pomfred, Jr., Jeffrey Dube, Kerry (Dube) Benter, Gregory Thomas, and Brett Thomas and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main Street, Winchester, on Tuesday, July 17th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 158 Washington Street at 11:00 a.m.
Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
