Obituary for Claire L. Kenney (Ducey)

Claire L.  Kenney (Ducey)
KENNEY, Claire L. (Ducey) age 86, of Woburn and formerly of Winchester, passed away on June 16, 2018. Beloved wife for over sixty years of her first grade classmate Raymond J. Kenney Jr. She is also survived by her children Marianne L. Lordi and her husband Bill of NY, Raymond J. Kenney III of Woburn, Stephen V. Kenney and his wife Lisa of Sudbury and John M. Kenney and his wife Lizanne of NJ, and her ten grandchildren, Diana and Christina Lordi of NY, Ryan, Andrew and Caroline Kenney of Sudbury and John, Evelyn, Mary Margaret, Grace, and Angela Kenney of NJ. During her 40-year residence in Winchester Claire was an active member of the Winton Club, The EnKa Society, the Friends of Winchester Hospital, and the Winchester Home and Garden Club. She also was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish where she taught CCD to first communicants and for years served as a Eucharistic visitor to the homebound. She enjoyed travelling with her husband throughout the US, the Caribbean islands and in various European countries. Claire loved playing bridge and tennis and playing golf at Winchester Country Club, Woods Hole Golf Club and Royal Palm Country Club in Naples, FL. She found her greatest joy however in participating in the activities of her children and grandchildren. A Funeral will be held from the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38) WINCHESTER on Monday June 25th at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary’s Church, Winchester at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6pm. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Claire’s memory would be gratefully received by the St. Mary’s Parish Pastoral Ministries, 158 Washington St., Winchester 01890.
