David Tore  Lundin (Lundin) MD
LUNDIN, Dr. David T. of Beverly formerly of Winchester passed away peacefully on January 24, 2018. Beloved husband of Elaine M. (Stone) Lundin, to whom he was married for 50 years. Loving father of Mark of Walnut Creek, CA, Beth Hamilton and her husband George of Woburn, and Scott and his wife Patricia of West Newton. Dear grandfather of Clint and Jennifer; Mary, Melissa and Macayla; and Blake, Charlie and Annie. Dear brother of Irene Straghan and the late Norman Lundin. Cherished uncle of Christina Pickering of Belmont and John Stone of Grapevine, TX, Heidi and Cindy Straghan of Waldoboro, ME and Lin Vic of Katy, TX. He is also survived by his daughter in law Michele Lundin of San Ramon, CA. David was a graduate of the Winchester High School Class of 1961, he then went on to Tufts University and received his Bachelor Degree in 1965. After graduating from Tufts Medical School in 1969 he joined the United States Air Force where he served as General Medical Officer of the USAF at Ehrling Bergquist Hospital AFB, Nebraska from 1970-1972. He returned to open his private medical practice in September of 1972 and began his 40 year career as a Family Practitioner in Belmont. He was also on the staff of Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. When David was not caring for his patients he loved spending time with his family and his treasured dogs. He was an avid stamp collector, enjoyed spending time in his yard nurturing his plants and loved his summer vacation on Cape Cod. Memorial visiting hours will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38) WINCHESTER on Wednesday, January 31st from 5-8pm. A memorial service will be celebrated at the Crawford Memorial United Methodist Church, 34 Dix St., Winchester on Thursday February 1st at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Late Veteran US Air Force.
