Obituary for Josephine Patti (Pasqua)

Josephine Patti (Pasqua)
PATTI, Josephine (Pasqua) passed away peacefully on September 19, 2017. Josephine, better known as Pina, was born in Sicily in 1927. She grew up during WWII in the small town of Augusta. In 1953 she married her beloved husband, Lino, and they came to America soon after. She was asked to do a radio show for the Italian immigrants of Boston because of her beautiful Italian and gift of gab. Lino and Pina had three children: Charles, Francine, and Marie. The family settled in Winchester where they resided in their home near her beloved church, St Eulalia’s. Lino and Pina were happily married for over 50 years.

Pina dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She adored her nine grandchildren, spoiling them with love, laughter, and most of all food. She loved parties and hosted each holiday with amazing food in abundant quantity, because if there were no leftovers, there wasn’t enough!

Pina understood the joys of life and shared her happiness with everyone she met. She was the ultimate peacemaker and generous to all. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic church where she formed many life long friendships.

She was a loving mother to Charles and his wife Catherine of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Francine D’Alfonso of Falmouth, ME, and Marie Ockerbloom and her husband Timothy Babcock of Wiesbaden, Germany. She is survived by her 8 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and was predeceased by her grandson Lucas Patti. She was also the dear sister of the late Maria Serrano.

Visiting hours will be held at St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester on Saturday September 23rd from 9-10:30am. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial in the church at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Eulalia’s Parish.
