Obituary for Mortimer C O'Toole Jr.

Mortimer Charles O'Toole, Jr., 96, of Winchester, MA passed away at his home on October 28 surrounded by his family. Born March 23,1920 into a family of six siblings in Waltham, MA. Graduated from Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in 1940. Joined the US Navy in September 1942. Participated in campaigns on Peleliu, Tianian, and Saipan until the end of the war. Returned home to marry the love of his life, Gertrude Doris Phillips (d. March 2008) in 1945. Danced through life together for 63 years. Dad is survived by their three children, Maureen O. Hamilton-Wolfe and her husband Tom of Winchester, Gary C. O'Toole and his wife Victoria of Cape Coral Fl., & Denise O'Toole-Barrett and her husband Rich of Winchester. Granddad is survived by his ten grandchildren, John B. Hamilton, Jr., Katherine E. McLaughlin, Charles O. Hamilton, Rebecca L. O'Toole, Kimberly A. Palen, Revelle O. Barrett, Lindsay M. O'Toole, Victoria D. Barrett, James I. Barrett, Adam S. O'Toole and thirteen great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at Lane Funeral Home, Winchester, MA Tuesday, Nov.1st from 4 to 8pm. Funeral services at St. Mary's Church, Winchester Wednesday, Nov. 2nd at 10am followed by interment ceremony at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester, MA.
