She fought a short, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Milford MA, she was the daughter of the late Rose (Carlino) and Augustus Serrano. She was predeceased by her husband of thirty-six years, Dr. Richard L. Allard, and leaves behind her companion of fifteen years, David H. Smith. Mrs. Allard was a graduate of Mt. She later focused on her more creative side, taking art classes and eventually managing an art gallery and framing shop in Winchester until recently. Family always came first for her and she loved spending time every week with her grandchildren. She leaves behind her daughter Michelle Allard McMahon and her husband Paul B. McMahon as well as two grandchildren, William and Jonathan, of Acton MA; two sisters: Janice Kirby and husband James, and Audrey Serrano-Manguso and husband Stephen; several nephews and nieces; and children and grandchildren of her loving companion: Karen Smith and Maurice Morin, and sons Jonathan and Ethan Recco; Susan and Hugo Smith, and daughters Rebecca and Jessica; Lisa and Thomas Aciukewicz, and sons Aidan and James. A funeral will be held from the Lane Funeral Home 760 Main St. (Rte. 38) WINCHESTER on Wednesday, January 6th at 9am.
