Life Story for Edith Wilson

Edith  Wilson
WILSON, Edith (Perry) Of Winchester passed away peacefully August 15,2014 at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of the late James W Wilson. Beloved mother of Janice Wilson of Winchester MA and Carel and her husband Franklin Wyner of Barnstable Ma. Adored grandmother of Alanna and her husband Joe Stanley of Marston Mills Ma and great grandmother of Piper Stanley also of Marston Mills Ma. She started life the year of the great flu epidemic and was born in a house, now the Jefferson Cutter Museum in Arlington Ma. A graduate of Somerville High School, she also survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor, when she traveled to Hawaii to marry James Wilson, just before the entry of the US into World War II. After the bombing, she returned to Arlington Ma, where she stayed and raised her family. In 1966 she started her official art career with drawing classes, then painting and finally moving to her greatest love sculpting. She exhibited and sold her art thru many venues including the Winchester Art Association, The Arlington Art Association and The New England Sculptors Association. She spent the last 3 to 4 years of her life at the Golden Living Center in Lexington Ma. A Burial Service will be for family members only.
