Condolences

Condolence From: Christopher Matthew Shields
Condolence: Dear Deb and Family, I am so very sorry for your loss of this really great man that I met shortly before joining the family by Marriage to Bob's niece Suzanne Loftus. Bob and Ruth were my Auntie and Uncle too. The Love and care Deb Loftus has showed Bob over the years as she did her her Mom Martha Dad Jim inclusive of Uncle Bob and Ruth was touching to me. the numerous cozy meals often cooked by Deb and Howie nourished them and us and Uncle Bob's Pies were the Grand Finish. Oh those pies, we all have favorites or if you were like me, you tasted more than one. Suzanne's hands passed over many pictures telling the story and we relived the fun times had by all. Aunt Irene is correct in saying how well Bob cared for Ruthie and Diane Gray about his Sense of Humor. He would want us to laugh again and eat pies again. We Love you Uncle Bob and there is a place in my Heart for you with my Great Uncles from the Mid West who fought in the Pacific and France. Bob's Ship the USS Wadleigh protected one uncle Army off coast at Normandy and one uncle a Marine in the Pacific Islands all when Bob was in middle school. How perfect his ship (Restored after WW2) was to emerge with state of the art spy equipment used to protect him in Korea. The places it went are still kept secret, all to protect us in America. Thank you Uncle Bob for so much and your Service. May God Bless this Family at this difficult time.

Peace and Love, Christopher Matthew Shields
