Obituary for Edgar Galli

GALLI, Edgar R. 82, of Winchester passed away on June 22, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Morlock) Galli. Loving father of Rachel Galli of Roslindale and Jonathan and his wife Annmarie of Winchester. Cherished grandfather of Teresa, Jay and Lucas Galli. Dear brother of Dee Juestrich and her husband Tony of Hammonton, NJ. Also survived by his much-loved cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in Hawthorne NJ, Edgar attended Cornell University, spent summers creating sets for the Tamiment Playhouse, and then received his Master's Degree from Northwestern University. He worked as an editor in the plastics industry, constructed monthly cryptic crossword puzzles for Harper's Magazine, and was an accomplished pianist, unaccomplished golfer, and inveterate Rangers hockey fan. He spent almost six years living at The Gables in Winchester where he enjoyed dining with friends and received wonderful care and support from all of the staff. Private interment will take place at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in NJ. Memorial donations in Edgar's memory may be made Lowell Transitional Living Center, 205-209 Middlesex St, Lowell, MA 01852.
